Lost Sole 50 and Half Sole 25 are set as individual challenges and geared towards people who want to set a personal goal, raise funds for charity, take part in a smaller less competitive event, train for upcoming races or just to join in a great day out on Lantau.
The 50k course is almost all on the famous Lantau trail going over Sunset and Lantau peaks. The elevation gain is around 2300 meters. Refreshment stops are set up at 2 locations and a convenient 7/11 at Ngong Ping to resupply.
The 25km course, or otherwise known as Half Sole, has the same start and finish point and follows the same route as its big brother event except you turn off at Pak Kung Au and head back to Mui Wo.
The 2018 edition will be held on February 9th (Friday) with registration opening up at 10am on October 16th. Only 52 places will be available for each of the courses with a wait-list implemented if over subscribed. Those that have completed Lost Sole or took part in previous 2017 or 2016 events can contact us for early registration.
The 2018 event will be a fund raiser with AWA (American Womens Association) for one of their many great charities. This event is open to all runners and hikers but the 50km version will need prior training as it must be completed in a certain amount of time. Sign ups will be via our meetup platform and a $100 HK non refundable deposit will be required to secure your place. Places will be on a wait list basis and not transferable. Lost Sole 50 will be $400 and $300 for the 25km version. These funds are for supplying the water stations, completion medals and the remaining going to an AWA charity. This is a non profit event.
